Class begins June 4th and is completed June 30th. All enrolled students must email me between May 31st and June 3rd to confirm their planned participation for this class. Any student who has NOT contacted me by 6 pm on Monday, June 4th may be dropped to make room for a wait listed student. If you are enrolled but not planning to participate in the class, please drop ASAP. We are in the process of adding a second section of nutrition but currently, the class and waitlist are both full. Keep in mind that, although I may drop any student who has not confirmed attendance, it is the students responsibility to drop the course if they are not planning to attend.

Students who are currently waitlisted (as of May 26th) will be automatically enrolled in the new class on May 29th. Fees will then be due by the next due date vs due by May 29th. Any other student who would like to add or who ends up on a waitlist after May 28th should also email me between May 31st and June 3rd to request an add code. I will provide these as quickly as possible, dependent on drops/class capacity. Any student who cannot be added to the wait list but who would like to be added should also email me during these dates to request an add code.

Please keep in mind that this is a RIGOROUS course. Students taking this class over 4 weeks usually do best if they have a couple of hours/day for participation. We cover the same amount of material as covered during a traditional semester. It is suggested that you have the book ASAP. Order the book before the class starts as, any delay in getting the book will impede your ability to succeed. You can preview the first chapter for free at the publishers website. You need BOTH Understanding Nutrition, 12th edition AND Diet Analysis Plus. The publisher has bundled these together for a reduced price, but I HIGHLY suggest that you pay the additional money for 2-day shipping. I have definitely seen students withdraw from the course when regular shipping goes awry and they end up without a textbook. This link is to the reduced price that the publisher has set-up for us: http://www.cengagebrain.com/shop/en/US/storefront/US?cmd=DisplayLandingPage&id=6098&cid=MS1998&entityNumber=4103

Here is a link to the online orientation. Although it is designed for a full-length course (so note that when it talks about the 4-week assignment blocks that really refers to 1 week in our class) it should help you to navigate the course and also give you an idea of how this class is organized. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bucB9T4O8Co

Below is the course schedule.
