Fall 2009

Fall 2009 classes will be beginning 8/31 at both Cabrillo College and West Valley college. All classes are currently full. However, I am often able to add students to many of my sections. It is imperative that you attend school the first day of class to prevent being dropped. For online learners, please note the deadline to email me by and/or your orientation date in order to maintain your spot in the class (see sidebar). With the state budget being what it is, it's important to make sure we enroll the maximum number of students to prevent class cancellations. And, according to law, we must drop all students who are a "no-show" for class. This allows us to add a student in their place. I hope you are enjoying your last bit of time off from school. I have been hard at work the past few weeks, adding content to online classes and updating nutrition information. You will find information in the sidebars regarding orientations (for Cabrillo) and textbook requirements. For all online learners, you must confirm your planned attendance on the first day of school, within our course management system (Blackboard for Cabrillo, Angel for West Valley) or you risk being dropped from the class. Directions for logging in are found in the sidebar. You may not be able to log in until 8/31 and course content (syllabus, etc) will be posted that day.
I look forward to meeting all of you in this fall semester.
